The weekend is almost here and O’Reilly Motorsports is heading to Texas Motor Speedway for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series race.
We leave the historic “paper clip” of Martinsville were brakes and tires can be an issue to the newly paved 1.5 mile oval of Texas Motor Speedway where grip and high speeds will be the conversation around the garage.
We will kick off the weekend Thursday with the Portacool Fandango event, an evening of laughs, stories from some of NASCAR’s top drivers and a little bit of chaos hosted by Kyle Petty. Think of it as an unfiltered NASCAR talk show where you never know what’s going to happen next. Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano, Tony Stewart, Brad Keselowski, and Clint Bowyer scheduled to appear. *Subject to change without notice
Friday will be a busy day of prep for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500. One round of practice and knock out Qualifying for the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series will take place. NASCAR Xfinity Series will also hit the track for two rounds of practice.
Saturday we will be there early for two rounds of cup series practice and Xfinity Series qualifying. At 12:30 p.m. (CST) the NASCAR Xfinity Series will tackle 200 laps during the My Bariatric Solutions 300.
Friday and Saturday night head to Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track for the Tony Stewart’s Texas Sprint Car Nationals presented by Machinery Auctioneers. Don’t miss Tony Stewart, Christopher Bell, Sammy Swindell, Danny Lasoski, Kenny Wallace, and more compete in some dirt racing in Sprint Cars and Limited Modifieds.
Sunday is the day we have been waiting for… the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500. We have 500 miles of high speed, lane changing, paint trading 40 plus drivers doing everything they can to be crowned the winner and the cowboy hat wearing ruler of No Limit’s Texas.
So cowboys and cowgirls. Settle in for some great racing and we will see you in victory lane.
